First Aid Kit

Part of a first aid kit containing items produced in Lithuania in the 1930's: 1) the empty box was manufactured by a tobacco and cigarette factory established in Klaipėda by L. Werblowsky in 1912. Parts of the factory still stand today. 2) the gauze is from Pharmacy No. 1 in Panevežys 3) the vile of magnesium superoxydatum (antacid) was manufactured by "Sanitas", one of the most important chemical/pharmaceutical laboratories established in Kaunas in 1922. It has evolved into a European pharmaceutical company today.
