To collect, preserve, research, and share the cultural heritage of Lithuanian Canadians, enabling the community, researchers, and the general public to discover, understand, and engage with our history.

Strategic Goals 2026-2030:

  1. Fiscal Sustainability & Governance
  • Develop opportunities for financial sustainability
  • Streamline financial management & reporting processes with the Lithuanian Canadian Community Board Executive
  1. Material Collection, Preservation & Access
  • Collect, evaluate and organize the inventory of culturally significant holdings
  • Build the digital asset collection
  • Launch a revised, updated LMAC digital catalogue
  1. Promotion & Education
  • Enrich the content on the LMAC website
  • Expand social media content: videos, artifact spotlights, archival stories
  • Create high quality in-house, travelling and virtual exhibitions
  • Develop customized seminars/workshops
  1. Community Engagement
  • Outreach to specific audience targets
  • Develop support circles across Lithuanian Canadian Community chapters and various LT organizations
  • Expand oral history initiatives across generations
  1. Partnerships & Global Collaborations
  • Strengthen partnerships with institutions in Lithuania, Canada, and the US
  • Participate in international digital heritage networks
  • Co-create exhibitions with Lithuanian diaspora and Baltic organizations
